Sierra Leone: Sierra Leone Brewery Limited restructures its operations

Due to the very hash operational environment and the resulting effects on our operations, Sierra Leone Brewery Limited has embarked on a strategic reorganization and restructuring of its operations, Awareness Times posted May 18.

This exercise is primarily aimed at repositioning the company to meet the challenges of our changing environment and realise its mission of being "the most preferred, Iow cost, high quality beverage supplier in Sierra Leone in a corporate socially responsible manner".

As part of the exercise, various departments of the company are being reshaped to reflect the needs for the business to respond proactively to anticipated changes in the business environment. Arising from this, a new structure, designed to be more efficient, flexible and dynamic is being put in place.

The exercise will lead to some job losses. All those to be affected will be compensated by the company with appropriate severance benefits that will cushion the effects this may have on them.

Details of the exercise have already been communicated to all principal stake holders including the relevant trade unions, joint consultative committees and other employee associations in the business.
